- Relay connects using Instagram's official tools — the same way apps like ManyChat do. It does not log in as you or use a fake login.
- You sign in on Instagram's own screen. Relay never sees your password.
- You write every reply and every DM yourself. Relay only decides when to send them.
- Relay only reads comments that match a word you chose. Disconnect any time and everything is deleted.
You need a Professional account
That means a Business or Creator account. Instagram only lets apps read comments on those, not on a personal account. Switching is free and takes about 30 seconds:
- Open Instagram → your profile → the ☰ menu → Settings and privacy
- Tap Account type and tools → Switch to professional account
- Pick a category, then choose Creator or Business
- Keep the account public
